Aava Collection
“Aava”, Finnish for “vast, open seas”, evokes undulating waves and open skies.
The Aava collection brings together soft curves and defined lines, capturing the fluidity of water. Crafted in Porcelain infused with oxides and pigments, the vessels feature a spectrum of natural hues, adding depth and tonal variation.
Emphasizing natural, organic forms, colors and textures, the creative process begins with sketching, followed by hand-carving a prototype. Once complete, a plaster mold is created. Finally the porcelain vessels are cast, fired, and finished with a customized glaze.
